This hot stone massage course shows you how to use hot stones in real hands-on treatment work, not just as a relaxation routine.
Taught by Registered Massage Therapist Roxanne Derkson, this training is for practitioners who already know the basics of oil-based massage work such as Swedish massage and similar bodywork styles such as:

What this course covers
This training goes beyond basic hot stone sequences and focuses on how you can safely and effectively integrate stones into therapeutic practice.
You will learn:
Safe working temperatures and proper heat management
How to connect hot stones to the body for effective treatment use
Cleaning, sanitation, and care of hot stones
How to use stones to support tissue preparation and deeper work
How to apply hot stones using percussive techniques / Tapotement
How to use heat to support work with scar tissue and restricted areas
How hot stone application can support meridian-based treatment approaches
How heat can be used in combination with cupping and needling-based modalities
How to adapt stone use for different treatment goals and client presentations
Clinical integration approach
This course assumes you are already proficient in Swedish massage fundamentals.
The training focuses on how hot stone therapy can enhance your existing hands-on skills.
Rather than following a fixed routine, you will learn to think clinically about hot stone use.
You will learn when, where, and why to use hot stones during a treatment session.
The course includes video lessons sequenced through all body areas and treatment applications.
It also explores what is possible when integrating hot and cold stone techniques.
Integrating hot stones into your practice adds adaptability and seasonal treatment options.
It can also reduce strain on your hands and wrists during hands-on work.

It is best suited for practitioners who already provide some level of hands on therapy be it Massage, Acupuncture, Spa Treatments or Reflexology this course will build on that foundation.
